"No, you're good." she confirmed. Unless these hatchets were going to end up being tampered with much like her own weapons. It was hard to know for sure what would happen. But hopefully not. Sara really missed her knives already.
Sara glanced up at Lydia with a smallest of smiles that didn't quite reach her eyes. It was cool in a way, perhaps. "I learned to survive." she responded. "That's mainly the reason I agreed to come here. Because I know how to survive and build from nature. I figured that would be useful in a society starting from scratch." Sara picked up her first shoot and began to quickly pull off twigs, tossing them to the side in a pile. Her hatched made fast work out of any she couldn't pull off easily. "No need to thank me. I'm pretty much always an advocate for women learning new ways to take care of themselves."
Sara knew what it was to feel helpless. This situation was easy in comparison, but the girl who went onto the Queens Gambit that night may not think the same thing. "The good news is that there seems to be a lot of people here who are willing to teach. And a few with some sort of abilities that allow them to get work done fast. You'll be okay, if you just keep at it."
