Lydia supposed, however much she didn't like it, that was probably true. All the studying in the world wouldn't ever really prepare her for anything if she didn't ever try to put it into action. "I'm finding that out quickly," Lydia agreed.
Shaking her head, Lydia moved closer, taking Sara's agreement as an invitation to do so. "Nobody's going to make anybody a master in one sitting. It's going to take time, but I'll never learn if I don't start," she said. With a little shrug, Lydia chewed thoughtfully on her bottom lip. "I don't know. Maybe both eventually? Even if I don't know how to use them...someone will. So if I can learn to make or repair them, then I can be more useful than if I don't know how, yeah?"
She'd rather learn how to use them than make them, but that was probably asking a little too much all at once from a total stranger. She'd save that request for later unless Sara brought it up.
