WHO: Mara Jade and Phil Coulson WHAT: Mara needs some fatherly advice WHEN: Sunday night after dinner WARNINGS: Shouldn't be any STATUS: Closed/In Progress
The last week had been confusing for Mara. First she had found out that Luke was from her world which had been a big enough surprise and then he'd told her more of his story. He was the pilot who had destroyed the space station (or the Death Star as the rebels called it) and if she hadn't taken an assignment, she would have been on the station herself. It was a lot to process but she hadn't let on to him about that part of it. If he was part of the Rebellion, he was the last person she wanted to talk to.
So she'd avoided him. Even though he was nice and he was cute an he was from home, Mara had stayed as far away from his as she could. Then he was gone. She'd found out when she had walked past his shelter and noticed that it was deserted. After a little bit of poking around, she'd learned that he'd left which surprised her. He'd seemed happy enough and though she hated to admit it, Mara was disappointed that he was gone.
Since her arrival, there hadn't been a lot of people that she'd felt comfortable talking to. She liked Rose a lot and considered the girl a friend and she also like Phil. He was old enough to be her father and maybe that's why she trusted him. She'd never known her parents and he was easy to talk to so after dinner on Sunday, she'd decided to seek him out. There were things she needed to talk about and she sensed that she could trust him with her story.
He wasn't hard to find, she saw him sitting on the beach and she walked over and sat down beside him. "Hi," she said. "Is it okay if I sit here with you?"
