She had an appropriately guilty look on her face when he clarified that he hadn't died because, really, it had to have been rude to suggest that someone was dead when they obviously weren't, but her cheery demeanor returned as soon as he told her that she didn't have to worry. "I was on the CCPD for a while as a detective before I went into CSI, so much of our lab was build from Palmer Tech. I mean, there was a lot of STAR Labs equipment there but a lot from Palmer Tech, you made our jobs so much easier and so much more efficient I just - ugh, you're so cool." It was such a lame thing to say and Patty knew it but she couldn't help herself, Ray Palmer was a technological legend and she wasn't surprised one bit that he had managed to survive the explosion that was all over the news to slip under the radar.
"This place is amazing," she continued after his mention of the ocean, and she crossed her arms over her chest as she looked out at the water herself with a pleased and content sigh. "This is the craziest thing that I've ever done and I've shot a shark man before." Patty turned her attention back to him and brushed her hair behind her ear once more. "I wasn't sure if I should have agreed but now I'm really glad I did. It's so much easier when you just have to worry about, you know, sleeping. Eating. It makes things so much more simple. Oh!"
