"Of course you may. I'd like that," she said when Mary took her hand. Christine herself was probably a little old fashioned considered to some of the women but that didn't bother her. "And don't worry about who does or doesn't notice you. Just be yourself and enjoy what you have here. I can only imagine what people think of me. I'd bet they think that I'm a bossy pain in the butt who spends way too much time convincing people to come to the Medical Center."
She laughed. Christine took what she did seriously but she knew it was time to cut back and so she had. Or she was trying to, anyway. Old habits were hard to break. "I'm glad we ran into each other," she said and dropped Mary's hadn. "I need to get back because I promised that I was going to take a nap and I wandered down a path and didn't get back to my shelter. So I should go do that. If you need anything at all though, please don't hesitate to ask."
