Mary smiled, glad that someone else found it useful besides her. Drinking water all the time had gotten old. Now if only they could have some wine. Or perhaps a martini.
"The three month pregnancies are so strange to me, but I suppose I should be happy for the expedited process." The last few months of her own pregnancy had been very uncomfortable. She was glad that on the island it seemed to be condensed into only one month.
"It must be lovely to have people to look after you," Mary continued. Her eyes drifted back towards the plants. People had become couples here and she found that it was something she greatly wanted. Obviously the nature of the island made complete monogamy difficult. Mary could accept that. She enjoyed having fun too. But she still wanted someone who would come home to her at night, someone who would be loyal to her. That type of commitment was what she needed if she was going to have a baby with a man.
