WHO: Mary Crawley and OTA WHAT: A walk in the woods and transplanting tea plants WHEN: Friday, midday WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open, Incomplete
Mary wondered if this was what it was like being a cave person, hunting and gathering in order to survive. It was so far out of the realm of everything she was used to. At least her tea production seemed to be going well. The funny thing was that she actually enjoyed it. She loved tweaking her ingredients to find the perfect combination for each flavor.
That day she was on a walk through the woods to find a few more tea plants for her backyard. At the rate she was going, the plants she already had would be bare in no time. Sometimes it was a bit frightening to walk through the jungle because Mary knew there were all manner of predators on the island, so she tried to keep her wits about her.
When she came upon a cluster of tea plants, Mary crouched down in order to dig a few of them up. She started by using a a large clam shell she had found on the beach as a trowel, digging away around the roots of the plant. Eventually it just became easier to dig with her hands, as much as she hated getting dirty. Unfortunately the entire island was about getting dirty.
After successfully unearthing one of the plants, she laid it carefully in her basket and started work on the next one. There was a rustle of leaves behind her and Mary stilled, glancing over her shoulder to see what had made the noise.
