Thanks had been busy at the Medical Center after the birth of the three babies during the storm. All were well though and things had settled down. Christine was thrilled byond belief when McCoy appeared because that meant another medical person which would be a huge help to Bruce once she cut back. The fact that it was one of her oldest friends only made it better. Christine trusted him with her life and more importantly the life of her and Barry's baby and the first thing she did was inform him that he was delivering it. They hadn't had time to really talk though and she was relieved when she got a chance to sit down on Thursday afternoon and put her feet up. She'd been taking better care of herself as she'd promised barry she would be she was starting to get more tired in the afternoons. Pretty soon she would probably just stop coming here every day but for now she was still hanging in. She found one of the armchairs that someone had brought over from the Community Center during the snow and sat down, propping her feet up on a box. It felt wonderful and she gave a sigh of relief. She'd just been about to close her eyes when she heard someone walk in the room and looked up to see McCoy. "Hey you," she said with a smile. "Sit down, we haven't had a chance to talk, we need to catch up." Part of her dreaded telling him everything that had led to her presence here but she knew she had to. He wouldn't understand just how much this baby meant to her unless she did and she wanted him to. |
