Colin hadn't yet met everyone. Lady Mary had mentioned there were about fifty of them in total, and he'd seen a few here and there as he got used to the primitive conditions he'd arrived to find. He was used to a little discomfort while traveling, but this was less civilized than he was used to. But he'd adapt. He'd manage. In a day or so he'd work on his own shelter, though for now he was making do with the community center. But he wouldn't be staying there too long. He wanted to enjoy living and sleeping out of doors.
The walk back down to the beach was quick, even barefoot, as Colin had abandoned his evening kit and chosen a pair of loose pants and his own white linen shirt, of course not done up or tied with a cravat. He made his way down to the beach, where he noticed a petite blonde wading in the water. He walked up behind her, staying to the side so as not to startled her. "How's the water?" he asked.
