Steve smiled reassuringly and sat down behind her, his hands settling on her lower back to start. "I don't mind at all, Pep. Anything I can do to help and all you've got to do is ask." He meant that too, because if it was physically possible for him to do whatever it was, he wouldn't think twice about fulfilling whatever request she had. He gently worked his hands up and down her back, applying light pressure to start with. "Just let me know if the pressure is too much."
He considered Pepper's question carefully for a few long minutes. What would he say to her? "I'd tell her that I'm glad she's here," Steve replied. "She's alive, hopefully happy and healthy. I'd remind her about that dance I owe her, too." He said the last part fondly because it was one of his favorite memories. "Peggy'll always be a special lady in my life, but I don't know what we could be here." Part of that was because he'd started to realize he might have feelings for Natasha. He knew he could love both of them, already did love Peggy. Could he love both of them at the same time?
