"You look wonderful," Steve replied sincerely. She really did, and he was glad to see that she'd found someone to have a child with. It was just good to see her so happy, and that was why he was more than happy to help her around the Community Center where he could. "I'd be happy to give you a back rub if it'll help your back." Aches and pains worked differently on everyone, so it was possible that a back rub wouldn't help any.
"Complicated is somewhat of an understatement," he added, with a shrug. "I'm glad to see Peggy here, even though it doesn't seem like too much time has gone by for her since I crashed the Valkyrie." That was what made it so complicated, because he'd just been a pallbearer for her funeral only eight weeks ago. Given everything that had happened afterwards, Steve hadn't really processed it because he'd been too busy worrying about Bucky and the Accords. "Her funeral wasn't easy, and I- I don't even know what to say to her." Pepper had advised him to not think so much about it, but he couldn't help it.
