Mary hadn't meant to creep up on him or spy. She had simply been passing through when she stopped to look at the construction. It was not fancy. The idea of her living in such a thing nearly made her sick. What on earth had possessed her to come here?
She was wearing what she had arrived in, a sleeveless beaded gown, though she had cut the hem of it a bit with the sewing kit in the Community Center and the length now went to about her knee. It was much easier to get around like that. Also ditched were her heels, and she was barefoot, something that would have been more mortifying to her if it wasn't an absolute necessity. She would need to make herself some more clothing; fortunately she found several bolts of fabric with the sewing supplies.
Mary stepped closer to him, cocking her head to the side. "Only when you build huts, then?"
