If she was going to do something, she was going to do it right. Natasha Romanoff didn't do anything half-assed. She was going to learn to sew and even if she made a huge mess of whatever she was sewing, she would get it right. Bucky had shown her a few simple things, she'd already known a little from her childhood but actually putting it together into something usable was another thing altogether.
She'd taken some brightly colored fabric from the medical center and using a pattern she'd found there had cut it into what would eventually be a baby gown. For whose baby she didn't know, maybe for just whatever child happened to get stuck wearing what could be the ugliest baby gown in the history of baby gowns. Time would tell. It might end up looking decent.
The sun was setting slowly and she knew she'd have to give up soon sine the light would be fading. She sighed and leaned back against the wall of her shelter and looked around. What was she doing here? She'd been asking herself that question a lot this week and she still had no answers. Yes she wanted to have a baby, that much was true but there was no one she wanted to have a baby with, at least not at the moment. People showed up all the time so who knew. The perfect partner might come walking up the beach within the next five minutes. She snorted and picked up her sewing. That was hihgly unlikely but it would be nice if someone came along to talk to.
