"That's what my sister used to say," Inari said with a laugh. On one hand, she missed Lara. Just a little. How could she not miss her? Lara had practically raised her, and while they weren't close, they were blood. And then there was Thomas, who had a hand in raising her as well. He and Lara were definitely not close. It was like living in the same house with both your parents after the divorce, and when they were both seeing other people. It was weird. But that was her life, before she and Bobby left town.
"But yeah. I hope you're right." She flashed him a wicked smile. She could tell he would be one of the ones eating out of her hand. And she might try to make that happen. For now, though, she was grateful for his help and didn't want to push the limits. She might need his help again. "I really appreciate everything you've done for me, Eddie."
