She didn't think he sounded like a dork. Harry was a dork. Eddie was adorable. She could see the effect she was having on him, and on one hand she felt little bit guilty. On the other hand, he really was cute. And she kind of liked watching him react, try not to react, and react anyway.
"Well, I still appreciate it," she told him. "Being the new girl is always hard." She knew that from the move to California. She'd been in the same house, gone to school with the same girls her whole life up to that point. Fresh starts were great, but scary too.
