Eddie felt terrible, making her smile fade like that. He barely knew her, but already he wanted her to smile. It seemed more natural to her than the look on her face now.
At her words - which to him were entirely unacceptable - Eddie took his shirt off over his head and handed it to her. He hadn't sweated too much today, so it was still relatively clean, and it was better than nothing.
"Here," he said softly. "You can put this on. There are people who can make clothes back at camp."
Then he smiled.
"Yes, that's why. See," he said, carefully, really unsure how to phrase this, "If you dress like that, everyone is going to want to uh, fornicate with you. Everyone."
