"Simon!" She called back happily, with a wave back. Kaylee quickly moved to bridge the distance between them and soon as she could, she threw her arms around him tightly in a warm hug, happy he was here – in those moments before she'd sent that network message out there, she hadn't been so sure that he was, even if she had chosen to come here, the thought of being without him wrenched at her still.
“Look at you.” She ginned widely, pulling back to take him in with her bright, excitable gaze. “Don't you look like you're settlin' in here just fine. Suits ya” Perhaps she was imagining it, but he certainly looked relaxed, not completely disheveled, of course; Kaylee tended to enjoy messing him up, was fun, mostly 'cause it generally led to clothes being abandoned entirely; but Kaylee had to bet that it was even tougher to stay as proper as Simon had liked to be on a Island, than it had been on Serenity.
“You only just got here too?” She asked with a curiosity, because he seemed a little more at ease, knowing how to find her so quickly at all.
