Re: Abby/Bucky/Steve
Steve felt a little bit like he was accidentally elusive in comparison to Bucky, but wouldn't let it bother him. He simply took a little more time to warm up to people. He'd get there eventually, he figured. If not on purpose than on accident, as was his wont. "It's nice to meet you too," he said, ever polite even as he sized the woman up. He definitely got what Bucky was saying about her wanting someone to watch her back -- and knew that the implication of that meant that she was from some kind of background that involved action of some sort. A lot of people were here, he noticed.
He rubbed a hand against the back of his neck, a little embarrassed at the way Bucky talked up his artistry skills. "I'm alright," he said modestly. "But yeah. I might paint the fish later. I wouldn't mind the company if you wanted to come." For as much as he liked silence, he preferred Bucky being around to fill it. "And neighbors, huh? That's good. You need help with anything? Bucky's better at building and planning, but I'm happy to put in some heavy lifting if you need."
