Eight looked over his shoulder at the girl who had joined him at the waterfall, and gave her what he hoped was a welcoming smile. It wasn't his waterfall, and he didn't really care who else joined him there. He liked to think of this all as communal property, anyway.
He straightened, wrapping his vegetables back into his jacket.
"Hey," he said. "Hope I'm not in your way. I just found some things in the woods and wanted to make sure I didn't get myself sick from eating dirt or whatever."
