As expected, his arrival had caused quite the stir which is exactly what Tony had wanted in the first place. It wasn’t an entrance unless he made a grand spectacle of it; he was Tony Stark, after all - Billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist. Maybe philanthropy was pushing it nowadays. The incident with Sokovia had rocked Tony to his core, even more so than what happened in New York. His PTSD was compounded now, and he had successfully isolated himself from the people that were closest to him. He had wanted to buy Pepper a nice little farmhouse like what Barton had; instead he took Arva’s offer and came here to paradise. No explanation to the woman he loved or the people he cared about. They were better off without him anyway. He found his way to the camp - it was easy enough with the signs - and almost immediately started looking for Bruce’s place. There weren’t that many, but they all looked fairly similar – thatched roof huts with makeshift walls that were held up by bamboo or whatever wood they could find in the jungle. Instead of asking the people he passed which shelter was Bruce’s Tony did the next best thing, he looked into each one. Personal items were scarce so it was hard to distinguish really who lived where, but when he caught the sight of someone that was probably Bruce in the distance he made his way there. No, he didn’t call out to his friend. Instead he entered the shelter and looked around. The only thing that made it even remotely belonging to Bruce Banner was the med pack that was sitting on the floor. Tony grinned, and nodded his head as if he were pleased with the surroundings. This would do nicely for the time being, especially the queen sized bed. He sat down on it, and kicked up his feet. He leaned against the headboard, and interlaced his fingers behind his head. Tony heard the sound of footsteps approaching, and he put on his biggest shit-eating grin. [ooc: Posted with Jenbug's permission] |
