WHO: Martha Jones & Barry Allen
WHERE: Barry's shelter
WHEN: Backdated to last night, after their date
WHAT: Cuddling, talking, maybe kissing after their date.
Martha flopped onto Barry’s bed easily, head pressed against the mattress for a moment as her feet worked to kick off her boots one after another. She inched up once they were off, knees bent slightly before she propped herself up on her elbows. She was smiling at Barry pleased that their date night had gone off without a hitch. Dinner on the ledge overlooking the falls, followed by what felt like hours of talking with Martha lying in Barry’s lap, and then a swim in the pool beneath the falls. It was the first time Martha felt as if she were living in a paradise. They had spent so much time working on the medical facility (which she was very happy about), but it left little time to do other things like enjoying their surroundings or even one another.
She knew, inherently, that building a society from the bottom-up would be difficult, but she had no idea how much until she was faced with the small amount of supplies they had. The gifts they received were wonderful, and she was so thankful for the medical equipment that had arrived. She had worried for so long that the birth of children on the island would prove difficult without even basic blood tests. But those fears were slowly subsiding. The gods were rewarding their hard work with things that they needed to get by. But all of those worries were something she was determined to not think about until the morning.
Right now all she cared about was that she was on the bed, smiling a bit coyly at her date. Eyes twinkling in the moonlight that found whatever cracks it could filter through. “I had a wonderful time tonight,” she said before she shifted onto her side, and propped her head up with her hand. “But…” and she paused for a moment here as she bit down on her lower lip. “I do think we could make it better,” she said and then patted the empty spot next to her.
