"Beautiful name for a beautiful woman. I should have expected it." Nick's eyes twinkled with amusement, definitely tickled by the fact that Maria actually shook his hand. And, of course, he couldn't help the signature move, lifting said hand to his lips to press a kiss before letting go.

"Next time, Maria, next time. Because I, actually, do enjoy the occasionally tummy rub." Nick chuckled before tacking on an after thought. "I don't, however, enjoy the taste of fingers, just for the record." Which was true. Nick didn't really enjoy biting anything off of a human....though he had done it before when necessary.

"So, were you just out for a run and needing some water when you came across me in all my glory?" Nick guessed, moving toward the water again, for another drink, not worried by....well, much of anything at the moment, and yet his senses (as always) were keen and tracking everything around him--particularly those ears.
