Maria's brows shot up for the almost playful nature of the wolf. She didn't understand wolf language, but it seemed to her as if it was behaving with intelligence. She kept her eyes on the wolf as she lowered the knife to replace it in the thigh sheath then remained crouched.
"Okay..." she said in a cautious voice. "I'm going to assume you're one of us and hope this doesn't get bloody."
