"Exactly like that," Sam said, leaning down to inspect her work and giving her a grin when he saw that she was doing so well. It wasn't terribly difficult to follow the directions, but he was still impressed that she was willing to take the chance and give it a shot. A lot of people wouldn't.
The smell was less than pleasant, but it was a necessary evil if he wanted to build a brick structure. He figured it would be more stable and withstand the elements better than something with lumber, especially since they didn't have roofing materials yet. That was something he hoped the gods would provide sooner rather than later, especially if they were going to make it rain like it had when he first arrived again.
"You hardly even need me at all," Sam joked. "You got this."
