Four days of nonstop rain had most of the people on the island feeling out of sorts and on edge. At least the main camp area stayed dry the past few days so that they could begin building the medical center, but Sydney was glad she suggested another bonfire for this evening, figuring that everyone could use an opportunity to relax and socialize. Maybe by fostering the sense of community even more, they would appease the gods and finally get the sunshine back.

There was plenty of food available for everyone and the fire was blazing for both light and warmth. Off to one side, the finished boards were set up for Cam's bean bag toss game. They really did need to figure out some additional leisure activities they could partake in here without equipment. It was too bad they didn't have a radio.

	Gale couldn't disagree with that. He could think of a lot of things that were worse than getting wet. Or even drowning. He'd lived through a lot of them. Sounded like this guy had, too. Get away from the shit? Yeah. Scott wished. So far he hadn't seen sight of anyone from Beacon Hills, not even Stiles, but that didn't mean they wouldn't show up eventually and everything would go right back to tense.

Part of the reason he came over to talk to Gale was about Lydia. Since Scott didn't see her yet it was probably a good time to broach that. "So about that post. Things got weird fast, huh."

"I don't think logic applies in that situation," he said with no small amount of bafflement then chuckled a little.

"It might have made a bit more sense to wait, sure. But they didn't and no amount of pointing that out is going to do any good, y'know?" He gave Gale a smile to show he wasn't pissed or anything. "I get what you're saying and why. I know you didn't mean to sound like you were judging them or anything, and I'm sorry she jumped down your throat. Probably best if you follow my lead and avoid anything to do with her." He wanted Gale to know he wasn't the only one to have been on the receiving end of Lydia's temper.

Then he chuckled. "Not all of them. But I think I have it figured out. My mom was a nurse. She told me stuff. These gods took nine months of pregnancy and put it down to three months. The girls are going through a trimester in one month. That's got to be some kind of hell right there, but judging by Malia they're still following the trimester expectations. Right now they'll be getting into the second trimester happies."
