Ray and Jemma
Ray heard the first voice speak up and his eyes shifted to find the source, his smile brightening when he saw Jemma. He had gotten a good first impression of her, although he hadn't given much — if any — focus on the idea of prospects since he'd arrived. After the night with Patty, he hadn't bothered again with anyone. It wasn't necessarily because he was attached to her, even though he was, but mostly because Ray was used to going for long stretches without sex, whether because he was single or because he was working on something particularly interested that pulled his focus from anything else. He didn't feel particularly needy in that vein and he figured that if he could do without, then he ought to make himself more useful in the downtime. Which, of course, was why he'd thrown himself all in helping people build shelters and learn to make palm fiber cord and, now, help build the medical facility after having worked with Cisco to get the electricity in order. It was exhilarating to be a part of something so new. To be down in the trenches, so to speak, of the thing knowing that once the building was completed, he could say that his hands had helped to erect it. That was just so cool to Ray.
"Oh, sure!" he chirped brightly in response to her request. Ray stepped into the suit after powering up the propulsion system on the back of the suit. Once he'd gotten himself situated in the thing, he pulled down the glass face plate and started powering up the remaining propulsion systems on his shoulders, arms, and legs. "What do you want to see first?" he asked, grinning proudly.
