WHO: Sydney Sage and Bonnie Bennett WHAT: Talking about magic WHEN: Friday afternoon WARNINGS: Probably not STATUS: Closed, Incomplete
The non-stop rain made Sydney rather introspective. She had been here for less than a month, but felt like she was almost a different person. Before coming here, she never kissed a boy, didn't really have the time to think about kissing boys because her Alchemist duties kept her so busy. Now, she had done a lot more than kissing and rather enjoyed it. Cam was the person she felt most comfortable with here so far and she was very glad that they were friends. It surprised her that he was willing to be so patient and take things slow with her, but she assumed that he was probably hooking up with other girls too.
It wasn't just her attitude towards interpersonal connections that was different though. Since arriving here and realizing that there were so many different types of magic that existed across various worlds, she was more open to the idea of it not being the evil, unnatural entity that Alchemist teachings made it out to be. That didn't mean she was quite ready to embrace the idea that she might have magic, but she was too curious about Melissa's assertion that she couldn't not explore the idea. If Bonnie could also sense magic within her, then she would have to consider if she wanted to attempt to learn how to use it. Perhaps it was one of the reasons that Arva had invited her here — to learn more about herself than she would have at home.
Either way, Bonnie seemed like a very kind person and Sydney was trying to reach out and make more friends, so even if she didn't have magic, Bonnie seemed like someone that she could be friends with. She ventured out in the rain to fill her canteen with fresh water and pick up some fruit and nuts from the main camp area so that she could offer her guest some refreshments when she arrived.
