Maria grimaced. "People talk too much," she complained. She'd been taking advantage of not having Fury around to monitor how much she pushed herself. She knew her limits. Those might have been pushed a little today, but that had been an emergency. Yes, the lumber and tarps would be replenished, but that didn't mean they shouldn't take care of what they had. What was easily given could just as easily be taken away.
She'd have to be dead to not notice his shirtless state. Inwardly she rolled her eyes at herself and cursed Bruce again for planting the suggestion in her mind. "Thanks," she said as she pulled on the jacket and had to admit to herself that felt a lot better. The fire would definitely help.
