WHO: Sydney Sage & Cameron Scordato WHAT: Awkward morning WHEN: Friday morning WARNINGS: References to sexual situations but nothing overt STATUS: Closed, Complete
Sydney was starting to feel a little more comfortable on the island. Yes, most of the other volunteers were obsessed with sex and sleeping around, but she made a few friends that accepted she wasn't ready to take that step yet and that made her feel a little better about her decision to come here. Ray's post had been interesting and though she hadn't replied, it got her thinking about the bigger picture of the society they were building. Those were the things that interested her and the reason she decided to accept Arva's invitation to come here.
When she got Cameron's message, she was thrilled. He was one of the few people here she felt like she could genuinely trust. He was a sweet guy and he didn't seem remotely interested in pressuring her to do something she wasn't ready for. Of course, he was also really cute, even though his size was a bit intimidating, but she had him on her mental list of people to potentially be her first when she was ready to take that step. Plus, the idea of sleeping in an actual bed was too good to pass up.
She felt a little awkward when Cam got her settled and then took off to spend time with a friend who was having a rough night, but her desire for a good night's sleep outweighed any possible discomfort with the idea of falling asleep in his bed while he wasn't around and Sydney hadn't even heard Cam come in when he finally did.
Now it was morning and she felt amazing. Much as she hated to admit it, sleeping on the ground really wasn't working out for her. Maybe she'd be lucky enough to have a bed of her own show up soon. In the meantime, she definitely appreciated that Cam was willing to share, even if it was only one night. She started to stretch and realized that she couldn't. Apparently in their sleep, she and Cameron had ended up cuddling and now he was spooning her, one heavy arm flung across her, making it impossible for her to move. It was actually pretty comfortable, so she decided that she didn't mind. At least not until she shifted and felt something poking in her back.
