A lesser person might have been scared off by that, but Bo had faced far worse than crying young women in her life. And there was something about this girl that reminded her of a Kenzi — a soft heart hidden deep within a tough exterior. She missed her best friend something fierce. Kenzi would love this place.

She didn't say anything and didn't get up to leave. Instead, she leaned back on her elbows and looked up at the stars. It had been at least a decade since she saw a night sky this clear.
