Finnick looked concerned when he saw her expression drop. He hadn't been expecting that. He'd thought that they were all friends in that group, but clearly he had a lot to learn. He had opened a can of worms without knowing it and he wished he hadn't. "Yeah, we don't have to talk about him. It's not important. I'm sorry I brought it up." It wasn't unimportant, but it certainly wasn't the main thing he wanted to talk about.
Ok, that had gone very bad, very quickly and not in the way Finnick was expecting! His eyes were wide with shock at her reaction and he stammered a bit trying to smooth things over. "I'm sorry. I didn't know any of that, about your boyfriend and everything...I just...I'm sorry I brought it up. I'm really sorry." He put his hand on her shoulder to try to comfort her, if she would let him. He'd caught been so up in his own emotional shit and hadn't stopped to think that she might have baggage of her own. There was no way he could have known, but still. "Stiles...I don't remember exactly who said it. I didn't think it was a secret. It kind of seemed like everyone knew but me."
