"Right, exactly," Cam agreed. It wouldn't be the end of the world if something dropped and they left it to the animals in the jungle or for it to decompose and break down only to eventually end up giving itself back to the land at the end of the day, but the more they could bring back, the more mouths they could feed with them.
If he was honest, Cam was actually more than a little surprised that the group at large hadn't started an idea tank to formulate some basic laws to put in place. Murder, for example, was against the law in most of, if not all of the world where he came from, but here...it could be perfectly okay, technically, and they had nothing in place to respond to that sort of a threat from a group standpoint. Maybe they were just more interested in living communally and trusting one another and if that worked out better for the group in the long run, then he certainly wasn't going to complain.
"Maybe," he replied, neither agreeing nor disagreeing. His eyebrows lifted as they neared the camp and she answered his question. "Holy shit, way to make me feel immediately inferior," he laughed. "Seriously? That's awesome."
