If truer words had ever been spoken, Derek hadn't been present to here them. "Seriously though," he agreed. He was getting better at looking at each situation presented to him individually and not just automatically casting an ugly glare over everything just to be on the safe side.
At the comment, Derek laughed out loud, shaking his head. "Trust me, this place is doing you a favor if you only got halfway through. The longer you watch, the more infuriating the thing becomes," he told her. "And no, that sounds like work to me, Sara," he rebuffed.
Derek shot her a grin when she teased that he was being demanding, but she stood and Derek got the impression that he had won that particular battle, so he respectfully turned his head until he heard the splash following her dive, waiting for her to resurface. "I don't think so, either," he agreed. "I've always kind of favored living out in nature, but the lake and the waterfall are a nice bonus," he added. "So what's life like for Sara outside the island?
