She watched him carefully as he came closer, for no other reason that it was a reflex to keep an eye on strangers who started to move closer. Not that she was concerned about trouble on this island. Or she hoped not, at least. It was hopefully still to early for that.
Sara laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "I've been informed on many occasions that I'm cynical." she admitted with a shrug. It was true, she couldn't argue. But she had her reasons. She was capable of seeing the positive side, it just wasn't an automatic thing.
Not everyone was good without modern tools, and Sara nodded her head to show she understood, a grin forming on her face. "If you decide you want some help, let me know. I suppose having a fur coat would be handy, but I'm pretty good with shelters and I don't mind lending a hand." Camping out was fine, but they were here for the haul and she wanted to continue to develop a space that was just hers.
Leaning forward, she lowered her hands just below the surface of the water, lightly swirling them around. "Besides, the more there is to build the busier I can keep. It distracts me from missing Netflix and take-out." You know, the finer things in life. It wasn't new to not have access to technology, but when she was in the league she typically had somewhere she needed to be or something she needed to do. Almost everything here was on her own time, so she had to create busy work for herself. Sitting around started to get to her fairly quickly.
