Clarke Griffin & Octavia
"Nice" was an understatement for the both of them. It was amazing and a great change for them. No longer did they have to fear war, death, or even pain. In this world, such concepts did not exist. All that did exist? The possibilities of happiness, joy, and love. The chance at growth here was tremendous and Clarke knew once she embraced it, let go of the past, she could have a wonderful life here. If only it was so simple as saying it to herself. No, Clarke would get there eventually and she knew it. Without Lexa, as selfish as it sounded, Clarke did not want to return to their world. The same predicaments would arise and unfortunately, Clarke predicted that if she dared to care for someone else like she had Lexa and Finn, they would end up dead too.
At the mention of Octavia having a baby, Clarke looked over at her friend, eyes wide with astonishment. "Really? Octavia that's great!" Clarke broke into a bright smile and leaned over to wrap her arms around her friend in a tight hug. "Congratulations! Was it a boy or a girl? Who was the father? Is the baby with Arva?" Clarke asked curiously. She knew that was a lot of questions, but Clarke was happy for her friend. Back in their world, something this marvelous might never have occurred, but here, it was expected and possible. Life was precious whereas in their world, it was not nearly so much to people. Clarke cared for human life, coveted it as a healer, but she'd taken her share of lives. Though she was not sure if she would have a child here, but at least here, she would not have to take anymore of it.
And Octavia had a more than interesting question, but was it unexpected? Considering Clarke and Bellamy's position of co-leaders of the 100, it was not really unexpected or surprising in a way. The two of them had spent a lot of time together, working to take care of the 100 at first and then all the Sky people from the Arc. They had both pushed the lever that extinguished and exterminated the people of Mount Weather. Both would bear that burden for the rest of their lives. Many of the things in common, what they shared, were of the horrible variety. It is what bonded them in a way. "I guess I should have expected that one, huh?" Clarke replied with a small smile. "No. I never slept with your brother. We are completely platonic." If there were feelings on Bellamy's side, he'd done a decent job of concealing them though Clarke was not completely blind to what Bellamy did for her. He was her protector.
