Phryne still wasn't quite sure what to make of this place. Everyone was nice and welcoming, there was no denying that. The thought of an island where no-strings-attached sex was encouraged was great. It was the other stuff that was tripping her up. The technology was advanced but other things were even more basic than she remembered. It was an interesting mixture and she could see herself becoming confused until she got the hang of it. She hoped that in time she would grow used to it all. Deciding to take Pepper up on her offer of help with the devices, she made her way through the camp towards the community centre. She supposed she would be spending a lot of time there if what she heard about it was true. It seemed to be the place where a lot of people spent their time. She would perhaps take the chance to meet a few other people and ask some questions about the island too that she was curious about.
Still, for now she would focus on the devices as it seemed an important way to communicate with one another.
There was a handful of people in the centre when Phryne arrived. Looking around she spotted a young woman with a child in her arms. "Pepper?" she asked approaching her, hoping it was the woman she was after. She'd spotted a few others with children around the place but they had other people with them. Phryne found herself trying not to shudder at the thought of so many children in one place. She supposed she understood logically that in a place like this children were bound to happen but it didn't mean she liked them. She wasn't sure she ever would. They screamed and pooped and that was it. Phryne had absolutely zero interest in them. Still, she knew other women liked and wanted to have children and she wouldn't begrudge them for that, it was just something she had zero interest in.
