Who: Johanna Mason and Cisco Ramon
What: Just a walk on the beach
When: Saturday morning
Where: The beach
Status: Closed/On-going

Sunrise was one of Johanna's favorite things. She'd grown up never knowing when she'd see her last -- never knowing if she'd be dead before that night ended (fires happened a lot in 7 during the dry times, and food wasn't as prevalent sometimes), and there were all the years she prayed not to be Reaped. Her prayers had been answered, until they hadn't been, but she still saw the sunrise.

And goddamnit, she made sure to appreciate it.

She walked along the beach, wind ruffling her hair slightly. She'd gotten so used to her hair being short that it still startled her even now sometimes to find that it'd grown out, that it was past grown long enough for her to pull it up in a ponytail. She rarely did, having discovered that she liked having it flowing free. Plus, it was easier to get away in a fight. A ponytail was an infinitely easier thing to grab hold of.

Old habits died hard, okay?

Johanna stopped for a moment, looking out over the water. She wasn't sure when this place had started feeling like home -- not just being home now, but feeling like it -- but she was pretty damn okay with that. She didn't know about the others, but she personally was pretty okay with it.

She turned to head back towards the shelters and caught sight of Cisco heading in her direction. "We keep finding each other, don't we?" she teased.

Cisco had never been an early riser until he'd come to the island. He'd been a night owl but with there being not nearly as many things to distract him here on the island, he'd become an early riser. There was also the fact that it was just more peaceful. A lot of people were still asleep and it was a good time to just walk along the beach and thing which was what he was doing.

He saw someone walking toward him and it wasn't long before he recognize Johanna. Cisco had enjoyed their talk a couple of weeks ago and he smeiled when he saw her. "We do keep running into each other. Peoople are going to start talking." he laghed.

Johanna just laughed. "Hell, let 'em talk," she said with a grin. "Like that's a bad thing around here?" She was teasing him, though -- and that was a good thing. Her sense of humor had largely gone underground under the rebellion, not that she'd had much of one to begin with. It'd taken her a while to pull back together.

The island had been a godsend, really.

"So, what's got you up so early?" she asked, looking at him curiously.

"Ever since I've been here, I find myself getting up early," he explained. "Don't know why. Maybe it's because life isn't as crazy here as it is at home. I was always up late there, here I don't have to be." Cisco shrugged. There were times when he missed his old life but most of the time, he didn't. It was nice to have to worry about when the next freaky thing was going to happen.

"How about you? Early riser normally?"
