Who: Johanna Mason and Cisco Ramon What: Random conversation of some kind or other, who knows? When: Thursday evening Where: The community center Warnings: None at the moment but we'll get back to you if we need to Status: Closed/On-going
It was a lazy day for Johanna -- an unstructured kind of lazy day, the kind where you had nothing you had to do -- and she'd spent most of it on the beach. As the evening rolled around, though, she eventually headed back to her shelter and changed before wandering off to the community center. She was beyond grateful they'd built it, was glad she'd helped. So many of them had helped, yeah, but she was grateful for her part in it. That'd been the very start of her settling in, she thought. Not that it'd been a fast process after that, but she'd had to start somewhere after all.
She'd wandered around the center for a while, being variously useful, before settling in a chair with a book. Johanna had never been much of a reader, but being on the island had let her have a chance to become more of one. Being out of Panem was a godsend -- never mind that they were rebuilding, it was still a nightmare in a lot of ways. The nightmares, the not having enough, the struggling to figure out how you were going to make it.
It was kind of the darkside version of life on the island and minus all the sex, really.
She glanced up from the book as she heard footsteps, offering the person a smile.
