Ella adored Pepper, there was no denying it. She was very much oblivious to most of what went on between the others on the island, but she could see that sometimes Pepper didn't quite smile as widely as she used to, or only smiled that way around a few select people. She would always be there to offer what comfort she could, though she would never try.
She watched, relieved, as her friend assured her that they could chat for a few minutes. There was a small part of her that wondered if maybe she should keep her baby with Colin, but it was a thought dismissed as simply being entranced by how cute Chayse was. Ella wasn't ready to have a family. She was, however, in prime condition to bear children in Lady Arva's name.
"Perhaps we could cook as we talk?" she suggested, since they'd be able to work while still keeping a close eye on Pepper's daughter. "It is almost hard to believe, but Rose said she met my son recently. I confess, I do not even know what name he was given, as I left that to Lady Arva." She wasn't ashamed of her decision by any means. She just felt quite awkward and unsure of how to approach it.
