Pepper dropped her bag on the floor in order to put her free arm around the other young woman. The hug and the joyous look on Ella's face at her arrival meant the world to Pepper and she too held on just a little bit longer.
"No, sweetie, we just finished doing laundry and were just going home to fold it and see what Chayse's daddy was up to since we've been here for a while, but trust me when I say the laundry can wait." Pepper pulled one of the blankets from the bag and spread it out on the floor, and then laid the baby on her back and gave her one of the clean diapers to play with. With her new found rolling mobility, Chayse wouldn't be on her back for long. "If you want to talk, I'm all ears. Or hands if you just want some help with cooking."
