Christian appreciated the irony of him sitting in a chair, reading a book. If he had been back at St Vlad's, no one would believe that he actually did like to read. Aside from the friends he'd made once he'd let himself open up to Lissa, most o his fellow students thought that he spend his time plotting evil things or trying to figure out how to turn them all into Strigoi. Which was ridiculous since he wasn't even a Strigoi himself.

So today, after helping wash the breakfast dishes (another thing that no one would ever believe), he'd gone into the little room that served as a library and picked a book of the shelf. It turned out be a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories and since he'd never read them, he decided what the hell and carried it to a chair near the window. He slumped down into it and made himself comfortable and soon he was lost in the world of Sherlock.

The problem with being pregnant and being close to giving birth, is that once you sat down, it was hard getting back up. But sitting was the only thing that was really comfortable to do, she just hoped that she didn't have to go to the bathroom too often, which was a great lie she always told herself. The idea that she's soon have control over her own body again which was great thought indeed.

Felicity waddled into the library, hand on the sore spot on her back that was incessantly bothersome and went straight for the shelf and the dog-eared copy of 'What to Expect When You're Expecting". She'd already read over the chapter on the last month, and now with her time so close, she needed to read up on the actual birth part. Ick. Sitting down, she did the best she could to make herself comfortable with her feet up and opened to the page she wanted to read from. Without looking up she said, "You ever watch those As Seen On TV infomercials? There was this thing, The Claw maybe it was called, I can't remember, but it like extended your arm, and you pulled a trigger and it could grab anything that was reasonably out of reach because it had pincer like things at the end. It was for disabled people. I'm disabled. I can't reach anything. I need one of those."

When Felicity walked in, Christian didn't look up from his book at first and then she spoke and he realized who she was. Rose had pointed her out to him and explained that she was the one that Oliver had knocked up. Frankly Christina was kind of glad that Oliver was off the market sort of because he got to spend more time with Rose. Around here though, was anyone ever really off the market? It didn't seem like it.

"Yeah, I've seen those," he said. "they look pretty cool. I wouldn't say they're only for disabled people though. They'd been kind of cool if you just felt lazy. Like you didn't want to get out of bed and get your shoes or whatever."

"I read somewhere before I came here that all those As Seen On TV things are invented for disabled people, but they can't be marketed that way because of discrimination or some BS like that, but when you know it, it all suddenly makes so much sense." She said, flipping to the next page in her book which was full of pictures that she didn't want to see where parasites were inflicting pain on their mothers as they entered the world. She shuddered.

"I can't even reach my shoes right now anyways, because I can't bend over so anything that would help that is something I would buy in a heartbeat."

This had to be the strangest conversation, he'd ever had thought Christian. He had no idea what to say to any of that but he didn't want to be rude. "I didn't know that," he finally said. "those infomerciials are usually a bunch of crap anyway."

He couldn't help but glance at her when she mentioned not being able to reach her feet. "You look like you're about ready to pop," he said, then thought better of it. "I'm sorry that was kind of rude. I mean you don't have much longer to go."

"It looks like it all might be really useful, but then you read the reviews on the internet and the people that were duped into buying it have nothing but bad things to say. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks." She said and then smiled. It was nice though that people tried to make things easy. That claw thing could be still be useful though.

"I'm not offended. I am. I would like to ... pop that is, right now if I could. But I have a week or two left, give or take." She shrugged. "It's not been a fun three months."

Christian had never been around many pregnant women and he couldn't imagine what carrying a kid around inside you must feel like. He was glad he'd never have to find out. Although he might think about being a father one day. Not any time soon though. Oh hell no.

"Yeah I can't imagine it would be a good time," he said. "I guess it gets to where you feel like you can't move and stuff." Christian thought she looked pretty good to be so pregnant but he had no idea what was normal and what wasn't it. She was still walking which looked like no mean feat to him.

"Some women really thrive and really love being pregnant and it's probably why they have multiple babies, but I've just been sick. All the time, on and off. I guess it happens with some women. I've just been unlucky." All this stuff she'd read in a book and then conferred about with the medical staff. Nothing she could do about it but deliver the baby.

"It's not that I don't love my baby any less because I've had such a hard time ..." Felicity shrugged. "It's just been hard and I'm glad it's almost over ... and probably one of the most boring topics I could talk about. Sorry."

How had he ended up having this conversation? Christian had no idea what to say to that but he decided to take a stab at it anyway. "Well um...I can't say I blame you. I suppose it comes to a point where you just want to get it over with."

Please don't let her start talking about throwing up, he thought. That was one topic that Christian had no desire to discuss. He also hoped they stayed off the topic of blood because he didn't want to explain to Felicity that he was a vampire. Even if he was a living vampire and not the evil kind.

	That was the absolute truth and Felicity knew she didn't have to elaborate on that subject. You just stopped wanting to share your body with a parasitic lifeform and actually hold it in your arms and be a mother.
