It hadn't been lost on Cisco that the woman had tensed when he'd gotten too close and he ignored the little pang of hurt because there was no way she could know that he wasn't going to hurt her if she couldn't understand what he was saying. As soon as he'd fixed the setting, he'd stepped away and made sure he was back in her line of sight, so that she would hopefully relax a little.
If the clothing wasn't a giveaway, the words that came out of her mouth when he could actually understand them would've been. Cisco's eyes widened again and he shook his head.
"Oh no, no, I'm not—my name is Cisco. I'm one of the volunteers. I'm not one of the gods," he explained. "Sorry I kind of manhandled you, there...I didn't know what else to do, I needed to get into the settings of the thing. I didn't mean to freak you out."
It was pretty clear to Cisco that this woman came from entirely a different time period. Or, at least, from a place that was pretty fucking far behind the times. The bracelet was a standard Android operating system; it wasn't even the newest Android OS, but she didn't seem simply confused by it, like an old person or someone trying to transition from iPhone...she looked like she'd never seen anything even remotely like it before in her life.
"...you're new here, right? Do you want me to show you how to use that?" he asked. "So you can communicate with the others? Most of us use it a lot to communicate over long distances. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it."
