Jim & Rose
"More or less." Rose found herself grinning a little more. There was a time when she'd been able to flirt as easily as breathing. The reputation she'd once had at school might have been exaggerated, but it was rooted in truth. Before she'd gotten really serious about her training, she'd partied a lot, she'd flirted and done more than flirt with a lot of guys. She hadn't actually had sex with any of them, but she hadn't exactly been a prude, either. The whole social thing had come easily to her. It was funny how much things could change in less than a year's time.
Still, she tried to summon up that girl now as she donned a slightly more flirtatious smile. She didn't want to think about Pliver. She sure as hell didn't want to think about whatever as going on with Christian and her lately. Maybe it wasn't the healthiest way of dealing, but she felt the old urge to do something wild and reckless and she wasn't inclined to fight that at the moment.
"You know how it is around here," she said. "People to see, things to do. What about you? You're having a baby, right?"
