WHO: Mara Jade and OTA WHAT: Thinking WHEN: Sundown Wednesday (November 30 for reference) WARNINGS: Shouldn't be any STATUS: Open/In Progress
It had been an eventful day. First she'd woken up in a bed which had been a wonderful surprise and then there was breakfast with Luke and all that had happened later. Mara needed to think, to process what she was feeling and what she had felt that morning. She wasn't unhappy, not in the least, but she was confused. The Force was real, she knew that much and it existed in her world but was it possible that it existed here too? Was that why she'd felt drawn to Luke from the very beginning? It certainly seemed possible after what had happened that morning and she needed to think about it. The best way to do that was to find a place all to herself where she could think and she'd found one during some of her explorations of the island.
The spot was just above the waterfall, she'd seen a path and taken it, discovering that it led to what must be the source of the stream that eventually became a river. It was quiet there and you could see the whole island from up there. Mara wasn't sure if anyone else knew about it but she'd never run into anyone on her visits so that was where she went shortly after dinner. There were still a few hours until sunset so she'd have plenty of time to get back to camp before dark.
When she got to the end of the trail, she sat down and leaned her back against a tree, looking out over the island. It was beautiful here, she couldn't deny that, but sometimes she wondered why Arva had come to her. Was it because of Luke? Mara had no idea.
