"It is," Ray agreed, "but they wouldn't have trusted us with it if they didn't feel they could or should," he pointed out as they neared the camp again. "So maybe if it's overwhelming, don't think about that part so much. Think about it on the smaller scale, how you can help individuals in the camp as it stands now. You know?"
Once they were back to the main camp, Ray helped Maria lay down the branches near the shelter she was currently staying in so that they'd be right there for the two of them to pick up and take to the place she decided to build her new one tomorrow.
