"I haven't met any of them," she said flatly. "They were described in my briefing." She was half bent over to hold the strands in place, but she didn't think anything of it. It was just the best way to hold things securely. "I mean it isn't as if I don't have experience with beings that could only be described as gods so I'm not doubting their existence."
She hadn't even noticed Ray's proximity until the wind shifted and blew in her direction. Maria got a nose full of a pleasant combination of whatever lingered of his soap and the honest smell of sweat. She turned her head and her brows went up to see him that close. He had nice arms, and her opinion was based off of Thor.
"Uh..." Snap out of it, Hill. "My concern was prenatal care. Complications. That sort of thing."
