Paradiso is an oc-friendly, panfandom game set in the middle of a social experiment being conducted by the higher powers of the island in an attempt to re-establish civilization. Characters will awaken on the island and will have no initial access to a steady food supply, electricity, hot water, or any other creature comforts; they will need to build, maintain, and expand their own working society with the supplies they can find and the skills they possess. Over time, if the gods and goddesses favor their "volunteers," they may offer some creature comforts along the way with a little touch of magic.

It is a sex game that will have adult situations and occasional mod-prompted plots.

We've been trying to get things organized at the Medical Center and I wanted to put together some records on everyone here. I know that mostly we think about the pregnancies and the babies but there is always the chance that someone could fall ill or be injured or any number of things.

First priority is the ladies. I have the information I need on the women who are currently pregnant. I need the rest of you to stop by the Medical Center sometime next week, any time is fine, I'm there most of the day and if I'm out, it's not hard to find me. There just some simple questions to answer, a little bit of a health history, that kind of thing. No poking, no prodding, just papers.

Guys, I need to come by as well. Same drill. I just need basic info, are you allergic to anything, do you have any kind of chronic illness we should know about, that kind of thing. It won't take that long so stop by whenever you can.

I'm sure Arva screened everyone before she invited us here but we have no way of checking that. Everything is confidential, we aren't going to be spreading your records all over the camp. So no worries.

Hey, so. Just one question. Kind of been nagging at me, but maybe I'm missing something here.

[Pause for dramatic effect]

Has anybody seen Gilligan's Island. Please tell me that somebody here has, I have way too many comments and I don't want to be disappointed.

[Okay also he needs help. A lot of help. But he can't just ASK. That's ridiculous.]

Seriously. It is RIPE for that. Granted, the porn version, maybe, but still.

...unrelated. You guys have to have a market around here somewhere, right? Some kind of barter system?

We have babies. Malia did great. I only passed out twice.

I couldn't get her to go with Luke and Leia for the names, so I proudly introduce Lucas Martin Stilinski and Cami Tate-Lahey.

A proper New York Style Bagel and then some macaroons? That's a bit heavenly. It's been hard eating lately but with all these breads it should be a lot easier. I'll definitely take a loaf of pumpernickel if nobody minds if only we had some butter and strawberry cream cheese, and a bottle of scotch...

Now I need a basket or something to store this in. Does anyone have one to spare?

Amanda:

So this week, not so good. I haven't seen you around but that's probably for the best. I have not been doing very well. Do you happen to know how to get more pot here? This nice guy Finnick helped me but I saw he's having a kid and his wife is sick so I don't want to bother him after he was so nice to start with?

I seem to be having withdrawal either from the scotch I was having every day or the drug for the walking bit, or both? You're the only one that knows about the drug bit and I didn't want to tell anyone here.

I feel like I oughta miss the hum of Serenity's engine a little more than I do, but it's so shiny here and it's nice knownin' the law ain't at our backs. Never seen so much white sand, or water so blue before, it's right outta a picture in one of them old books and all, like no place I've ever been.

Seems this is the best way to get a proper ni hao out to folk around here, I'm Kaylee. While this place far as the beach goes don't seem exactly lousy with any kinda space transport, guess I'm fair handy when it comes to anything got mechanical workings so, that's some way I'll be lookin' to be useful here. Oh, once fixed it so there was runnin' water in a whorehouse too, so y'know, just ask, I'll give it my best.

I'll say too, these comm bracelets are some kinda nifty tech, I wonder if they'd give me a spare to take a proper look at.

I received a number of gardening tools from the gods this week. It should make things easier, especially transporting things from the garden to the main camp area since I got a large wagon.

If anyone is interested in lending a hand in the gardens, please let me know. We really ought to expand what we're growing since our population will presumably continue to increase.

I've never been one to believe in a god, or gods. I do understand that a statistically significant portion of the population finds comfort in some religion or another, but I've never needed that. I take my comfort in facts and figures. Jane, on the other hand, was brought up Catholic. It doesn't seem to have made an appreciable difference in the way she approaches her job, but of course I don't have a "control Jane" who wasn't brought up in a religious household with which to compare and contrast the existing Jane (or a Maura who was brought up in religion with which to compare and contrast myself).

Here on the island, however, I'm told that there are actual gods, present, here among us! I have not yet encountered any of them, but others have assured me they exist. I am excited about the opportunity this presents, though, to potentially sit down and talk with them about how they feel about being gods. The other thing to consider is that all the information I've received about the island indicates that there are no laws, no leaders, and no religion. Can there be "no religion" when there are gods? Can gods truly be gods if there is no religion? I feel like I can barely sit still. If only Jane were here!

This island is gorgeous though. The flora, the fauna, the potential for study... it's all a rich tapestry and I feel so thrilled that I volunteered to come here and help out. I just hope there are not too many medical emergencies... my medical skills really are more suited to my role as medical examiner, and not so very suited to the living, as Frankie can probably attest...

Woah, hey!!

It worked! Thanks, Arva, wherever you are. Nice save.

Anyway, since she did this right, I'm going to trust her when she said that there weren't any Mogs here. Right. So.

I'm Eight. What can I do to help?

With so many people deciding to leave, I've been working on taking stock of the supplies we have available and have a list of shelters with beds that are available.

Here's what I've found so far:

7 walkie talkies
7 maglite flashlight
7 flints
7 hatchets
7 canteens - though I know that these have been communally used at the construction site
shampoo & conditioner
razors
towels
ponytail holders
tampons
shaving gel
sunscreen
lotion

We also have 8 shelters available with beds - 7 of them are full size and 1 is queen size.

Can everyone who is still here check in? And let me know if you've got a stable shelter and/or a bed so we can try to allocate our resources as fairly as possible.

Hey there, fellow islanders! I wanted to let you all in on something I figured out about our bracelets. After tinkering around with the different settings and running a couple of successful tests, I learned that our bracelets have voice capability. For those of you familiar with smartphones back home the bracelets act the same way. Just as when you want to communicate directly to a single person there is the option to call them instead. You just pull that name up and hit the microphone option instead of the text and ta da! To answer an incoming call you simply tap the little icon that will be blinking when the call comes in. A sound alerts you. Anyone who comes from somewhere without smartphones I'll be happy to walk you through the steps.

Any questions? Let me have 'em!

I was wondering if you could help me out with something again?

[FILTERED TO THE GAMES COMMITTEE
Including, but not necessarily limited to: Cam, Sydney, Stiles, Kitty, Chloe, Melissa, Maria, Amanda, basically anyone who has ever expressed an interest in games or leisure activities.]

I had an idea today. I know some people have talked about chess or checkers, and on the the rainy days last week I promised Amanda I would carve a chess set sometime. Well, I had an idea that would be a lot easier than carving all the pieces from wood. What if we used shells for the pieces? For checkers we could just use simple bivalve shells in two different colors. They're already almost flat, and there are a million of them on the beach. For chess it might be more complicated, but there are enough different kinds of shells that we could probably come up with a system.

For the board I thought we could just draw something on a piece of fabric for now.

Amanda, I do still intend to carve you a nice chess set, with real wooden pieces and an inlaid wooden board, but it's going to take a long, long time with everything else that's going on. I've only got one piece done so far. So maybe this could work in the meantime?

Filtered to THE CANNABIS CLUB - you know who you are

Is anybody else seeing what's happening and thinking that some of the people involved in that thread really need to smoke a joint and chill out?

So it looks like in addition to a most-appreciated bed, our gods left me some razors this morning.

Since I've never actually used them before, if anyone else has greater need, they're certainly welcome to a few. It's hard to appreciate Sex Island when I keep running into things twelve year olds have figured out

Besides that. I mean, that's fine too, but I'm trying to look beyond the obvious.

Well. It looks like we're doing something right. The gods and goddesses have gifted us with a rather impressive amount of supplies overnight. A quick glance shows me that we have a large amount of lumber, an array of tools, the necessary items to set up electricity, and plumbing supplies.

I suppose they approve of our plan to erect a medical facility since we also got a number of medical supplies, including a portable ultrasound machine.

Who all has experience with construction? I can handle the planning portion and direct the project since I've actually built a cabin and outfitted it with electricity and plumbing before, but I need to know who all here is able to assist and in what ways.

Obviously, I'm willing to help as much as possible and, if necessary, I can transform into my stronger alter ego to help with heavy lifting I hope.

I can do this

Hi, everyone. It seems like it's well past my turn to do...something like this, and it's far easier for me to do it this way than in person with...anyone.

I'm Dr. Amanda Perry. I've spoken with some of you before. Back home, I was an aeronautical engineer.

Back home I was also a quadraplegic. I was in an accident when I was nine years old that left me paralyzed from my chin down. I relied on a caretaker to eat and tend to my personal hygiene. I almost died choking more times than I care to recall.

Before I came here, I was killed.

Where I'm trying to go with this is...I've never really been intimate. I've been attracted to someone people, I'm fairly certain I'm heterosexual, and I've read plenty, but I've never had any real practical experience. Which sounds far more absurd, at my age, than it ever did before.

I'm not asking for anyone to 'volunteer', especially if it's going to be out of pity or sympathy. I just felt it might be easier, considering our purpose for being here and since everyone's pairing off so rapid-, to have it out in the open now, so it wouldn't be an awkward conversation with someone later. I never had to talk about it before.

If anyone has any respectful questions, I'll gladly answer.

I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth and I'm certainly not complaining, but...I'm not really sure what I did to deserve waking up in a bed. An actual bed. ...anybody else? It can't be just me.
