Hello, I hope that I'm doing this right. My name is Christine Chapel and I arrived on Saturday. I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner and I'm trained in both pre-natal and post-natal care as well as caring for patients throughout the life span. I've talked to a couple of the volunteers and I'd be interested in providing maternity care for the women of the island. I am trained to do almost everything that a doctor can do and I wouldn't attempt to do a delivery without physician back up. Especially if there were unforseen complications. I have never delivered a baby but I know how and I'm confident that I can manage.
If this is okay with you, I would like to set up something in the Medical Facility as soon as possible. I understand that you have provided pre-natal vitamins and if it would be easier, you can supply me with them and I can pass them out at the first visit. I hope you don't mind my asking this of you. I want to help in any way I can and I'm more than willing to do whatever you need me to do.

Hi guys. I sent a message to Arva asking her if I could set up shop in the Medical Facility and start doing pre-natal care with our expectant mothers. I'm a Family Nurse Practitioner so I'm trained in that kind of thing although I'll need backup from one of you when it's time for them to deliver just in case.
I'm not trying to step on your toes but I thought maybe the women would be more comfortable with another woman and I had no idea what your specialties were.
