Hello, I'm Professor Charles Xavier and a new arrival to your community. It was suggested that I post to everyone with some of my skills to see what I may be able to assist with. I have training as a geneticists and biophysics as well as a doctorate of psychology. I can assist with genealogy if there's a need and I can help with psychiatric issues via medical if you don't already have someone on site?
if nothing else I can use my powers to help with them...

We had a woman here before who was talking about how important it was that we keep records of who was having babies together so we didn't mess up the gene pool.

Ah well I've been told that there are possibly some equipment I can use to do some genetic studying to hypothesize about the potential genetic outcomes of offspring?

Oh, I wouldn't know anything about that. Sorry. I'm not even sure I understand all those words.

Being a geneticist, are you planning on adding to the gene pool?

Of course. That's part of why we're here. Are you?

Hello, thank you! I have my doctorates in genetics, biophysics and psychology. Are you a professor as well?

That is quite impressive. Not in the slightest. I have training as a field nurse but I worked as a private detective at home.

1973. So a bit later than you. You being a detective in the 20s is rather impressive.

Oh are you one of the medical staff I've been instructed to talk to? I was told I could inquire about having access to some microscopes and other lab equipment?

Quite possibly. If you come by the med centre we can sort some things out?

Ah wonderful. I'd planned to go by on Monday morning to see the facilities. Maybe you could give me a tour of things? Since it sounds like some genetics work will be useful here for all the different types of dna that's going to be combined, I'd like to see what I can use.

Maybe I'll see you thereMonday?

Of course that works. Dr Banner would be worth talking to. He's also got a science background.

Welcome to the island and the community. It's small still, but good.
Sounds like your training will be plenty useful here.

There are a million ways to pitch in. Anyway, you said you're a professor. What of? I bet the new generation (when they happen) will need some education.
