I've been here about a week now so I guess I should probably introduce myself.

Name's Octavia Blake. I was born on a space station and spent most of my life there. Being in a place like this is completely different than anything I'm used to, though I do have experience living on the ground and building a society. I can hunt and fight though the weapons I had on me when I arrived are dull.

I really don't know what else to say.

It's a wonderful island, isn't it? I've offered my help with the plumbing, and in the meantime I've been exploring the rest of what there is on offer. I've already discovered new things about myself. It's very exciting.

I don't know if I'd go that far. I do miss things about Boston. I miss my best friend Jane, and I miss my job. It was hard at times, and I had to see some terrible things, but at the end of the day I knew I was making a difference, even if only in a small way, do you know what I mean?

You should learn how to protect yourself. And hunt. Those are more useful skills than building a bunker.
